GDP is back with AOI for another amazing release on Ride the Fury Records. As of now the release isn’t out on cassette but is coming soon. Everyone who pre-ordered the cassette on the RTF big cartel(Link) got a link to the Mediafire release. So let’s get right into it, this 8 track record is pretty damn good and also funny. The concept of the album as I take it is right in the title, Tunnel Buddies. What is a Tunnel Buddy? Well if you don’t know I think you should listen to the record, it’s pretty damn funny. Out of the 8 tracks we get 5 solid tracks of amazing word play and 3 tracks of hilarious antics. My favorite tracks on record have to be the first two tracks, “Televised Tunnel” and “Stretch Somethin’”. Televised Tunnel is a completion of news casts put together in an incredible way. All I have to say is “mooooooore duuust”, just too good. Stretch Somethin’ is GDP at his finest, an amazing beat that draws you in and holds you to the track; You see the correlation in lyrics from some of his old tracks which I love, such as “Smart girl but she doesn’t study, a full rise to co-ed horizontal rugby”. It made me laugh and just makes me think of all the rugby sluts at my school. Clearly if you couldn’t tell the song is about girls wanting to have sex (or at least that’s what I got). It’s really a great track with GDP written all of over it.
